Attention Henan Auto Parts Business Owners! Overseas Exhibition Booth Fees Subsidized by Up to 90%

Many companies want to sell their products overseas, but when they actually get started, they often encounter several challenges:
Not knowing which exhibitions to attend, worrying about high exhibition costs, and lacking overseas market channels.
Now, policy support may help reduce some of these costs.
On August 25, the Henan Provincial Department of Commerce issued the Notice on the Supplementary Recommended List of International Exhibitions for 2026 (Yu Shang Mao Han [2026] No. 7), adding 50 Category I exhibitions.
For Henan foreign trade enterprises preparing to “go global,” two key points deserve particular attention:
Which overseas exhibitions are covered by key support policies  How much subsidy can exhibitors receive
This is especially relevant for companies in auto parts, automotive accessories, and related sectors.

I. What Are Category I, Category II, and Category III Exhibitions
When companies see an “exhibition list,” they may wonder: why are exhibitions divided into Category I, Category II, and Category III
Simply put, this is Henan Province’s classification system for recommended international exhibitions.
Category I Exhibitions: Priority Support
These mainly include professional overseas branded exhibitions organized by the Ministry of Commerce, overseas branded exhibitions suitable for the export of Henan’s key products, as well as selforganized exhibitions and exhibitionswithinexhibitions jointly organized by Henan Province with the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, national industry associations, chambers of commerce, and other organizations.
These receive the highest level of support.
Category II Exhibitions: Key Recommendations
These mainly include exhibitions that align with Henan’s foreign trade industry layout and have strong international influence.
The level of support is lower than for Category I exhibitions.
Category III Exhibitions: General Exhibitions
These mainly refer to professional exhibitions that companies independently choose to attend based on their own market development needs.
Category III exhibitions can also receive relevant policy support, although the standards differ.

II. How Much Subsidy Can You Receive for Attending an Overseas Exhibition
Under the relevant policies, the boothfee subsidy standards differ for Category I, Category II, and Category III exhibitions:
Exhibition Category Maximum BoothFee Subsidy Rate Maximum Subsidy per Booth
Category I 90% RMB 40,000
Category II 70% RMB 32,000
Category III 50% RMB 23,000

In other words, even for the same type of overseas exhibition participation, the amount of support available varies depending on the exhibition category.
Category I exhibitions receive the highest level of policy support.

III. Auto Parts Exhibitors Can Also Receive Support for Airfare
In addition to booth fees, airfare for personnel traveling overseas to participate in exhibitions may also be eligible for support.
Under the relevant standards for Category I exhibitions:
Booth Fees:
The subsidy applies to the net booth fee, excluding booth construction and decoration costs, with a maximum subsidy rate of 90%.
The maximum subsidy is RMB 40,000 per booth; for a single exhibition, the maximum boothfee subsidy for each company is RMB 80,000.
For industries such as automobiles and machinery/equipment that need to bring large physical exhibits, the maximum boothfee subsidy for a single exhibition can reach RMB 360,000.
Airfare:
Economyclass airfare may be subsidized by up to 90%.
Support is available for up to two people from each company at each exhibition.
For exhibitions in Asia, the maximum subsidy is RMB 10,000 per person; for exhibitions in other regions, the maximum is RMB 15,000 per person.
Relevant policy bases include the Notice of the Henan Provincial Department of Commerce on Issuing the Administrative Measures for Special Funds for the Development of Foreign Economy and Trade in Henan Province (Yu Shang Wai Mao [2020] No. 4), among other documents.

IV. An Example Makes It Easier to Understand
Suppose a Henan auto parts company attends a Category I overseas exhibition.
The net booth fee is RMB 60,000.
At a 90% subsidy rate, the theoretical subsidy would be RMB 54,000. However, for a Category I exhibition, the maximum subsidy per booth is RMB 40,000.
Therefore, after applying the subsidy cap, the maximum boothfee subsidy available is:
RMB 40,000.
The company would actually bear approximately RMB 20,000 in booth fees.
If the airfare subsidy requirements are met, the airfare for two exhibiting personnel may also be eligible for support in accordance with the policy.
Please note:
The subsidy is not an immediate cash rebate upon registration. Applications and reviews must be completed after the project has been carried out, in accordance with the relevant policy requirements.

V. An Exhibition Worth Noting for Auto Parts Companies Has Been Added to the New List
For companies in auto parts, automotive accessories, and the automotive aftermarket, Southeast Asia has long been a market worth watching.
In the supplementary recommended list of international exhibitions for 2026, The 25th China International Auto Aftermarket Fair (Indonesia) has been selected as a Category I exhibition.

Dates: December 12–14, 2026
Venue: Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE)
Organizer:

Ecat International

For auto parts companies preparing to enter the Southeast Asian market, Indonesia is a market that deserves close attention.

On the one hand, Indonesia has a large automobile and twowheeler market, with continued growth in automotive aftermarket demand. On the other hand, Chinese auto parts companies entering Southeast Asia are gradually shifting from simple product exports toward longterm development of brands, distribution channels, and markets.
Therefore, for Henan auto parts companies that already have plans for overseas markets, participating in local professional exhibitions is one way to understand the market, find customers, and build distribution channels.

VI. Keep These Points in Mind When Applying for Subsidies
① The company must meet the relevant policy requirements of Henan Province;
② The exhibition project must actually take place and be completed;
③ Choose a qualified and reputable exhibition organizer;
④ Prepare the required materials and submit the application as specified;
⑤ Before registering, confirm the latest exhibition list and application requirements.

In 2026, opportunities for Henan companies to “go global” are increasing.
This provincial special subsidy significantly lowers the threshold for auto parts companies expanding overseas. By relying on official policies and highquality Category I exhibitions, companies can enter the Southeast Asian market at a lower cost and reduce unnecessary trial and error, creating an excellent opportunity to develop overseas orders.
