Recently, the Ecat International team has continued visiting automotive and motorcycle parts industry clusters, professional trade shows, and manufacturing businesses across China. Through facetoface conversations with factory owners and industry professionals, we are gaining a better understanding of companies’products, market developments, and overseas business ambitions.
For automotive and motorcycle parts companies, finding customers remains a top priority. In recent years, competition in the domestic market has intensified, product prices have become increasingly transparent, and competition among similar products has grown more direct. Many companies have mature products and stable production capabilities, yet securing additional orders and expanding beyond their existing markets is becoming increasingly challenging.
As a result, more Chinese companies are turning their attention to overseas markets in search of new customers and growth opportunities.
However, expanding internationally involves much more than attending a trade show or sending a few business development emails. Before entering a new market, it is essential to understand local demand, distribution channels, and purchasing habits. Where are the potential customers How do local distributors operate Which products are in demand These are important questions companies need to answer before taking their businesses overseas.
During our recent visits, the Ecat International team has engaged with companies across a wide range of sectors, including auto parts, automotive accessories, car care and detailing products, automotive maintenance and repair equipment, workshop tools and consumables, automotive modification, motorcycle parts, and new energy vehiclerelated products.
Through facetoface discussions, we can gain a clearer understanding of each company's core products, sales channels, and future plans. Some companies already serve overseas customers and are looking to expand into new regional markets. Others have focused on China's domestic market for years and are exploring how to prepare for their first international expansion. Some have already begun paying closer attention to Southeast Asia and are seeking markets that better match their products.
Every company has its own circumstances and business needs. The value of these ongoing visits lies in understanding those needs firsthand and providing more relevant insights to support companies' future market expansion.
For Ecat International, domestic outreach is about more than inviting companies to participate in trade shows. More importantly, it allows us to stay close to the industry, understand market developments, and identify companies with strong products, solid capabilities, and genuine ambitions to expand internationally. By doing so, we aim to create more opportunities for businesses to connect, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships.
In recent months, Indonesia has emerged as a market of growing interest among Chinese automotive and motorcycle parts companies.
As one of Southeast Asia's major automotive and motorcycle markets, Indonesia has a substantial vehicle population and active demand for auto repair, replacement parts, automotive accessories, and maintenance services. Some local parts and accessories rely on imports, while Chinese automotive and motorcycle products offer advantages in product variety, supply chain capabilities, and delivery capacity. These factors are attracting increasing attention from Chinese businesses.
For companies exploring overseas trade shows, the key consideration is not simply the size of the exhibition venue. What matters most is whether they can connect with buyers who have genuine purchasing needs, meet local distributors and wholesalers, reach automotive repair and service channels, and establish relationships with potential business partners.
That is why identifying companies in China and connecting with buyers overseas are two closely linked efforts.
On one hand, we continue visiting domestic industry clusters to understand companies' products and business needs. On the other, we are building our knowledge of overseas markets, developing local channel relationships, and gathering buyer insights. By connecting the right companies with the right markets, we aim to make international expansion more practical and resultsoriented.
The Ecat International team continues to conduct domestic market visits and invite qualified exhibitors to participate in our exhibitions. From industrial clusters to professional trade shows, and from manufacturing facilities to industry networking events, our market research and business engagement efforts are ongoing.
For Chinese automotive and motorcycle parts companies looking to explore Indonesia, find overseas customers, or identify opportunities across Southeast Asia, learning more about the market and exchanging industry insights can be valuable first steps toward new business opportunities.
2026 China Indonesia Automotive Motorcycle Partsand Accessories Fair will take place from December 12–14, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Indonesia. Preparations for the exhibition are progressing steadily. We will continue visiting industry clusters in China and inviting qualified companies to participate. By bringing market insights to businesses and connecting their needs with opportunities overseas, Ecat International remains committed to building meaningful connections across the automotive aftermarket industry.
